Couples are very curious about how well they did on the assessment

Assessment provides a reality check and often surprising information about each others perspective on the relationship. They may discover that they do not agree with their partner as much as they think they do, and are less aware of their partners perspectives (ideas, thoughts, feelings) as they assume.

Following on from last weeks post, the following are ten ways that couple assessment can increase the impact of any marriage or family education program:

    6. Couples like to know the results of the Assessment.
One consistent finding is that couples are very curious about how well they did on the assessment. As a result, they are very interested in returning after they have taken the assessment to get feedback. They particularly like to know about their couple strengths, but are generally interested in all the feedback. Educators have found a reduction in their dropout rates when they know that they will be receiving feedback about their couple assessment.

Assessment provides a reality check and often many surprises to couples. Additionally, couples are very curious about how well they did on the assessment and therefore are more engaged in the process.
